Update: Sept 25, 2014
It's been a few years now and Ben has had no issues. We have had a few scares where that area was hurting, etc. but in all cases it turned out just to be growing pains as he is getting taller and his bones are getting bigger, etc.
He doesn't take any meds or vitamins/minerals anymore and functions like a normal kid.
We've continued to keep Allimed in the house and have found that its really effective against any type of infection you might have (e.g., sinus infections, strep, etc.).
We are very grateful Ben is doing well and has not had a relapse.
